The Y: Not A Place, A Purpose
You have probably visited a YMCA or dropped off your son or daughter for soccer practice. You probably know someone who learned to swim at the Y...
Did you know the YMCA is a nonprofit? We are! The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit social services organization dedicated to making our programs accessible for all. Therefore, financial assistance is available for almost every program we offer, and each year, donors, partner organizations, foundations, and volunteers give their time and financial support to help make this important work possible.
There are many ways to give to your Y. We invite you to become part of this mission that can change lives, with your help.
Give to The Y!
YMCA Annual Giving brings the community, businesses, foundations, Y volunteers and staff together to fundraise nearly $5M annually in order to provide free outreach, programming, and financial assistance to our community.
Legacy Giving
The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas has an endowment fund (The Foundation) to support our mission. Whether you create a named endowment fund, or leave the Y in your will, you generosity will move us towards a healthier and more connected community.
Capital Expansions
Our capital efforts are powered by a belief in the long-term impact of our facilities. Whether it's revitalizing a beloved neighborhood Y or expanding our spaces to serve more families, each project strengthens our ability to meet the needs of the communities we serve
Corporate Sponsors
Through annual event and program sponsorship opportunities, the Y can help further your philanthropic work as an organizations. When your business makes a gift to support, you are helping enrich the lives of youth, adults, and seniors in our community.
Giving Opportunities
- Matching Gifts: An employer match is an easy way to increase impact of your gift.
- Donate stock: Individuals, corporations, and foundations can donate appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares that have been owned for more than one year. Donors can avoid capital gains tax and also receive an income tax deduction for the fair market value od the gift.
