This page serves as the central hub for news and updates on the Camp Grady Spruce Capital Campaign. It provides ongoing updates on fundraising progress, construction milestones, and key developments as the campaign advances toward its $10.2 million goal.

We have raised $4.60 million towards our $10.2 million goal.

  • Includes $1.8 million from the sale of Frontier.
  • Contributions from 93 individual donors total $2,807,758 with $1,164,570 already collected.

Six and a half of the eight cabins have been funded and named:

  • Taylor Cabin, Shaw Cabin, PIB Cabin, Jane & Creed Ford, Jr. Cabin, Ellison Cabin, and one from an Anonymous Donor (name TBD).
  • The Girls of Ray Bean have funded half of a cabin.

Construction Updates:

  • Eight brand-new Ray Bean Cabins are under construction, with six and a half funded/named—leaving just one full and one half-cabin still available for naming.
  • Framing and roofing will be completed by the end of March.

Funding secured: $500,000 from dedicated donors.

Planning updates:

  • Architectural drawings and budget finalized.
  • Surveyors will be plotting the site this week.

Partners in Building (PIB) is constructing both the cabins and the Welcome Center, contributing $350,000+ in materials.
 

Architectural plans for the Ray Bean Dining Hall are being finalized, with renovations scheduled to begin in early spring. Upgrades will include:

  • New roof, siding, windows and doors, and a front deck

  • ADA accessibility improvements

  • New bathrooms and kitchen updates.

  • Ray Bean Dining Hall walking path has been completed.

Goal: Begin renovations in early spring and complete by summer 2025.

$400,000 secured from Creed Ford III and Scheels for aquatics upgrades.

$500,000 verbal commitment to address shoreline erosion.
 

We have already raised over $30,000 through individual donations for fire pits. This spring, we will launch a mini campaign to raise the remaining $145,000 needed, with each fire pit naming opportunity set at $5,000.
